About the department

Chair of Universal History of State and Law has as its primary field of research the history of early modern state and law in Poland and Lithuania in international context, especially the questions concerning the army and its place in governmental structures and society, as well as fiscal problems of early modern communities.

His primary field of interest is history of early modern army in organizational, political and social context, especially in Poland – Lithuania. He wrote a book “Hetman koronny w systemie ustrojowym Rzeczypospolitej w latach 1581 – 1646”  and above fourty articles. He prepares monography concerning the organization of Polish army in the time of Sigismund III, 1587 – 1632
