The Law and Administration Faculty About the department
Chair of Comparative Constitutional Law and Contemporary Political Systems was established in November 2008. It was connected with the creation within the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University Institute of International Law, European Union and International Relations.
Department staff conduct classes in such subjects as:
– The rules of the political State
– Political and legal systems of the Member Modern World
– Study of State and Law
– Contemporary Political Ideologies.
The Department also conducted undergraduate and postgraduate seminars. Chair conducts research on systemic Polish law and comparative law.
The Department conducts an active scientific work. Areas of particular interest are issues:
– Representative democracy and direct;
– Constitutional judiciary;
– Regimes of Central Asian countries and the Caucasus;
– Federalism, autonomy and regionalism in the contemporary world in juridical.
– Constitutional aspects of security.
The employees annually participate in scientific conferences. They participate and initiate the issue of handbooks and other teaching aids.
Dr hab. Bogumił Szmulik, prof. UKSW – Head of the Department from 1 October 2010 is Profesor Bogumil Szmulik. In October 2009 he received the degree of Doctor Habilitated of Law from constitutional law obtained at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at Catholic University for his work “The position of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Polish”. In addition, from 2012 serves as a member of the Polish Accreditation Committee, also since it has been vice dean for science at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw and is a member of the Senate Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw, a member of the Statutory Committee of the Senate Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw and chairman of the Teaching Faculty of Law and administration of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University. Bogumil Szmulik from 2013 also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Foundation – Institute of Law body.
Mr. Szmulik is the author and co-author of hundreds of scientific papers and teaching.
She is interested in cinema, music old and he is a bibliophile.

Dr Andrzej Pogłódek – in 2011, graduated with honors from law at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw, and in 2013 graduated from the same university International Relations. In 2013, he received a degree of Doctor of Law (thesis topic: Polish model to change the constitution in a comparative context). Since 2011 she has worked in the Department of Comparative Constitutional Law and Contemporary Political Systems (from 2011 until 2015 – assistant, from 2015 – lecturer). Co-founder and from 2013 President of the Law Institute of the body. In the scientific work he is interested in national regimes of Member States and the Commonwealth of Independent States unrecognized regimes. Author or coauthor of dozens of scientific papers and teaching. Secretary of the Chair from 1 October 2015.
