About the department

The Chair of Public Economic Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw was established on the 1st of October 1998. The acting Head of the Chair is Mr. Dr.iur. Michał Będkowski-Kozioł, LL.M.Eur.Int.(Dresden).

Currently there are 3 persons employed in the Chair of Public Economic Law: one person as an assistant professor (Mr. Dr.iur. Michał Będkowski-Kozioł, LL.M.Eur.Int.(Dresden)), and two persons as assistants (Mr. Łukasz Gołąb, and Ms. Anna Trocka, Attory-at-law). Associate of the Chair is also Ms. Monika Floriańczyk-Kardas and Ms. Anna Hornowska.

The Chair conducts research and specializes in the following fields: general issues of public economic law, the law of economic activity (business conduct law), the legal status of public undertakings, competition and antitrust law, state aid law, public procurement law and the law regulating infrastructure sectors with particular emphasis on the energy sector (including regulations on the renewable energy sources) and the rail transport sector.
