About the department

Lecturers employed in the Division of Theory and Philosophy of Law teach the following courses:

  3. Logics in Law, a lecture in full-time and part-time programs: professor Mieczysław Omyła
  4. Negotiations in Law, a lecture in a doctoral program: Aneta Jakubiak-Mirończuk, PhD

At the same time, the lecturers in the Division of Theory and Philosophy of Law are active professionals in the field of the law. They have gained vast experience through working in both law making and applying bodies.

The lecturers’ research interests involve general jurisprudence, focusing mainly on questions related to making, interpreting, and applying the law, as well as theory of the law. Their chosen lines of research pertain to the following topics: methodology of empirical research in the legal science, legal mediation and negotiation, legisprudence, and law interpretation and application.
